My first summary in this course was about desert policemen. It
talks about how policemen could make the safe. Our teacher taught us how to
write good summaries about the articles; he said that we should understand the
main idea first. After that we should leave out the names and the quotations.
This summary was practice for the lesson.
Our second summary was
about road crash, and most of it was about children’s safety. Hedley taught us
how to use the words in the paragraph and how to take the main idea from it and
summarize it. He corrected our mistakes after giving it to him; after that he
give it back so we can know our mistakes. This summary has 10 percent from the
overall grade.
The third summary was
about pearl diving and its history. It talks about how the pearl diving was getting
less famous by time. Most of this summary talks about the past, present and
what would they do to make safe their tradition. Our teacher taught us in this
summary that we need some dates, names and numbers. But we can summarize
without using them a lot.
